ANIMAL WELFARE
Organic donkey milk from a committed farm in the Pyrenees
The organic donkey milk used in our soaps and cosmetics comes from Asinerie de France, a certified organic farm in Urdos, Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
On over 100 hectares of meadows and mountain pastures, 240 donkeys, mare’s donkeys and colts live to the rhythm of the seasons. The donkeys are fed exclusively on organic grass, hay and cereals. Every year, from May to October, they head off to summer pastures in the Pyrenees National Park and the Haute Vallée d’Aspe.
Milk production respects the animal’s natural cycle: mating is carried out without human intervention, the foals stay with their mothers for the first few months, and animal welfare guides every stage of the breeding process.
